Hello everyone! I'm back with another review for you guys, and I'm particularly excited about this one because I've seen its effects and I personally think it's a lot more affordable - especially with their current promotion going on, which I will talk about later!
I've been struggling with my thunder thighs (more like porridge thighs because of cellulite) for a long time, and with thunder thighs comes ridiculous cellulite and fat freezing treatments don't usually target cellulite, it just gets rid of the fats in the area. I've had fat freezing treatments done before myself and as much as they are effective, the treatment does take a long time (at least an hour), can lead to bruising (which can't be helped) and of course, we all know it can be quite painful!
ONDA treatment to the rescue! This non-invasive slimming treatment targets fat, reduces cellulite and tightens the skin. I don't know about you but I feel really lucky that Cove Aesthetics (formerly known as Ardmore Aesthetics) carries this treatment! It's a fairly new piece of equipment, but their staff are very professional and made sure I was very comfortable during my visit.
It's a very simple process: they measure out what they call a grid on the area of concern (as you can tell, I'm constantly concerned about my thighs) There are three dimensions to the grids available and I didn't have to worry about which grid to chose because they therapist did that for me.
Treatment time!! It was a very quick procedure, not more than 15-20mins per grid, since I was doing both my legs, that would be considered as two grids. You'll feel the cold from the machine's touch, but it's not painful at all, it's like you're touching a cold piece of metal! Eventually, you'll start to feel a sort of warmth from the inside of your skin (if that makes sense), but don't worry, that is completely normal!
A little more information about how this treatment works: the machine uses a CoolWaves system, which are microwaves that selectively target fat cells! It keeps your skin cool, so the surface of your skin feels cool, whereas the under-layers - where your fats are, will start to feel warm, hence the warmth I was talking about earlier! The CoolWaves accelerate fat cell metabolism and make the fats sweat until they are gone. Which also means, you will need to keep yourself extra hydrated in order to flush it all out after your treatment!
I was very comfortable as you can tell! Some patients don't feel the warm sensation immediately, some might not feel it at all! I started feeling that warm sensation 7 mins into the treatment on my right leg, but only felt the same sensation on the left after the treatment! So it really depends on the individual!
Of course, I can't be saying all of this without sharing results! I'm not going to show you everything but here's a section of where I thought the treatment was the most effective! As you can see, the 'before' picture had more obvious cellulite and isn't as firm as the 'after'! The best part is, this was after only one treatment, so imagine how amazing the results can be after 3 or 4!
Of course, the 'after' photo was taken 2 weeks after my treatment. This is completely normal as your body will need time to expel all that 'sweat' I mentioned before. I think the most exciting thing was that I had my Bangkok trip during the 2 weeks and the results still showed! The appearance of cellulite is a lot less obvious as well and I'm just really happy with the results!
